Working with me

FAQs

Your Questions, Answered

Let me show you how simple it is to work with me.

For many, the idea of working with a Coach or Mentor can feel intimidating. Most people, including myself, are wary of the unknown.  This page will hopefully answer some of these unknowns so you're more confident to reach out to me for the help you need.

  • How do the sessions work?

Everyone's journey with me will be different, but all will start off in the same way - a Discovery Session.

We will start with a free, no obligation half-hour phone call or Zoom chat where we will discuss some of the issues you are currently facing and see whether what you are looking for aligns with what I can offer. This way, you're not wasting any time or money on the wrong solution for you.

If we both decide that working with me would benefit you, we'll arrange a First Session.

This may be held over Zoom or involve sessions in my relaxing summer house overlooking the garden. If you would feel more comfortable, we can meet in a coffee shop.

During this First Session we'll map out things like your priorities, the areas you most want to work on and what you struggle with most.

After the First Session, I'll put together an Action Plan for you, which you can either chose to take forward by yourself or with further guidance from me.

How far you want to go with me is up to you.  It may be weekly/ monthly check-ins or I might be physically helping you with something like a declutter.  That's something we'll discuss at your First Session and after you have received your Action Plan.

  • Will it work?

There is so much evidence out there about the benefits of therapy which will provide you with long-term coping strategies that will be available for you to use long after your sessions end. There’s no one-size-fits-all approach and therapy doesn’t come with a guarantee. It might take you a while to find the right fit for you; but if you’re open to the process and willing to put the work in then you will see changes and real results.

  • How many sessions will I need?

That depends on the reason that you come for my support, but we can discuss this over in our initial no obligation Discovery Session, so you have a clear idea of what to expect.

After our First Session, I'll send you an Action Plan which will set out a recommendation about future sessions should you wish to continue working with me. This might be regular weekly sessions where I will usually ask that you commit to a set number of sessions so that we can plan to get the most out of our time together.

Alternatively we might schedule monthly check-in sessions to help with accountability and provide regular guidance and motivation.

It could also be that I am physically working with you on something like a declutter, which will obviously mean we will spend longer togther.

  • Is the walking therapy one to one or in a group?

Walking therapy is one to one, so you can have the space to be open and honest about how you’re feeling and be certain of confidentiality.

  • Do online sessions work as well as face to face ones?

Sessions work just as well online as they do face to face. Online sessions mean that you can access my help and support no matter where in the world you are.

  • Are sessions confidential?

Yes, all the sessions are confidential.

We will both sign a confidentiality agreement in the first session.

  • What are your qualifications?

I have a wide range of qualifications to support my experience including a Level 3 Certificate in Integrative Counselling and Coaching (CPCAB, Esher College, July 2019)

A one-off session of two hours will be £85.

I offer an initial block of five sessions for £375.

You can book a block of ten sessions upfront for the discounted price of £700.
